In Chicago Med season 5 episode 15 titled "I Will Do No Harm," we see the doctors of Gaffney Chicago Medical Center face a variety of complex and emotional cases. Dr. Marcel (Dominic Rains) continues to struggle with his relationship with Dr. Manning (Torrey DeVitto) as they work together to treat a young patient with a rare condition.
Meanwhile, Dr. Choi (Brian Tee) and Dr. Charles (Oliver Platt) must navigate ethical dilemmas when treating a patient who has a history of domestic violence. The patient's partner is also admitted to the hospital with injuries, leading the doctors to question whether they should report the abuse to the authorities.
Elsewhere in the hospital, Dr. Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) and Dr. Asher (Jessy Schram) must work together to save the life of a young woman who has overdosed. As they try to unravel the mystery of how she obtained the drugs, they uncover unexpected connections to one of their own colleagues.
The episode also sees the arrival of a new nurse, Maggie Lockwood (Marlyne Barrett), who quickly becomes a valuable member of the team. Maggie is tasked with caring for a patient who refuses treatment due to a religious belief, and she must find a way to respect the patient's wishes while also providing the care that she needs.
As always, "I Will Do No Harm" showcases the dedication and expertise of the medical professionals at Gaffney Chicago Medical Center as they do everything in their power to save their patients and make difficult ethical decisions.
