Ep 2. We're Lost in the Dark

In Chicago Med season 5 episode 2 titled "We're Lost in the Dark," the staff at Gaffney Chicago Medical Center are faced with difficult challenges both inside and outside the hospital walls.

Dr. Choi (Brian Tee) finds himself caught in the middle of a domestic dispute when a teenage boy is brought into the hospital with a potentially life-threatening injury. His mother (guest star Tamara Chambers) and father (guest star Jeff Lima) disagree on the best course of treatment, forcing Choi to navigate their conflicting opinions while also trying to save the boy's life.

Meanwhile, Dr. Manning (Torrey DeVitto) and Dr. Marcel (Dominic Rains) treat a patient who is brought in after being injured in a nightclub shooting. As they work to save his life, they also investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting, leading them to uncover a dangerous and unexpected connection.

Outside the hospital, Dr. Charles (Oliver Platt) and his daughter Anna (guest star Jessy Schram) struggle to navigate their strained relationship in the aftermath of Anna's arrest. As they attempt to rebuild their bond, they both must confront past mistakes and find a way forward.

Throughout the episode, the hospital is also dealing with a power outage that plunges the facility into darkness. With critical patients in need of life-saving treatments and equipment, the staff must work quickly and creatively to save lives and ensure that the hospital can continue to function without power.

As the episode progresses, the characters are forced to confront difficult choices and navigate complex moral dilemmas. With lives on the line and tensions running high, "We're Lost in the Dark" is a gripping and emotionally charged installment of Chicago Med.
