In the third episode of the 34th season of Chopped, titled "Grill Masters: Battle 3," four professional chefs with a passion for grilling face off in the Chopped kitchen for a chance to win $10,000.
The competitors are tasked with creating appetizers, entrees, and desserts using a variety of themed ingredients that must all be cooked on a grill. In the appetizer round, the chefs are presented with sea bass, watermelon, fresh ricotta cheese, and quail eggs. The judges will be looking for creative interpretations that utilize the grill.
For the entree round, the chefs must cook venison, collard greens, fingerling potatoes, and tomato sorbet. The judges will be looking for bold and flavorful dishes that showcase the chefs' grilling skills. Finally, in the dessert round, the remaining chefs must use whiskey, pretzels, strawberry sorbet, and grilled peaches to create sweet and savory desserts that leave a lasting impression on the judges.
Throughout the competition, the chefs face challenges such as limited time, tricky ingredients, and the pressure of impressing the judges. With each round, one chef is eliminated until only one remains to take home the $10,000 prize.
As usual, the judges will provide valuable feedback on the dishes, critiquing each chef's presentation, taste, and creativity.
