The battle ends in victory for the group, and Layfon earns the respect and admiration of his fellow students. He also gains a better understanding of the electronic spirit weapons and their limitations.
Throughout the episode, Layfon also struggles with his own past and the events that led to his exile. Flashbacks reveal that he was once a member of a group of elite warriors known as Heaven's Blade, but he left the group after a mission went awry. Layfon now battles with guilt and self-doubt, questioning whether he is truly worthy of using his fighting skills to protect those around him.
