Samurai Harem: Aso no Yoichi, meaning Tomorrow's Yoichi, is an anime about Yoichi Karasuma, a young man whom has been studying his dad's martial discipline for seventeen years in seclusion and whom speaks with archaic Japanese grammar. Yoichi has chosen this path in order to better his affinity with the Ikaruga clan. While Yoichi's father gave his son the idea, the truth is that Yoichi is more powerful than even his father. After spending nearly two decades training in the mountains, Yoichi returns to the civilization and the Ikaruga clan. There, Ibuki, the assistant master of Ukiha Kamekaze Kendo, accepts Yochi has a freeloading student of her dojo. Yoichi is a bit of an outlier at the Ikaruga dojo, as most of the other students are female--Ibuki's sisters Ayame, Chihaya, and Kagome. Beyond dealing with various problems within the dojo, Yoichi also deals with Ibuki's jealous suitors, school, and interference from rival dojos of Ukiha Kamakaze Kendo, such as the Tsubame Benten Ryuu and the Saginomiya clan. Samurai Harem: Aso no Yoichi is an anime that combines martial arts, romance, and comedy, across its single season of 12 episodes. The series is licensed for North American distribution by Sentai Filmworks.
