Ep 9. Game Set & Mouse

In Corner Gas season 5 episode 9, titled "Game Set & Mouse," the residents of Dog River find themselves involved in a series of hilarious mishaps as the town prepares for its annual horseshoe tournament.

Brent and Lacey are determined to win the tournament and square off against each other in a practice game, much to the amusement of their friends and fellow townspeople. While Brent is confident in his skills, Lacey proves to be a formidable opponent, forcing Brent to resort to some questionable tactics to gain the upper hand.

Meanwhile, Hank decides to enter the tournament with his trusty mouse, Sir William Fluffybottom, as his partner. Despite Emma's protests, Hank trains diligently with his pint-sized teammate, even going so far as to purchase miniature horseshoes for the mouse to use. However, when the day of the tournament arrives, Hank and Sir William's performance leaves much to be desired.

Elsewhere in Dog River, Karen and Davis investigate a series of petty thefts that have been occurring around town, with Karen convinced that there is a master thief operating in their midst. However, when they finally catch the culprit red-handed, they are surprised to discover that the thief is none other than Oscar, who has been stealing items in a whimsical attempt to cut down on clutter in the house.

Lastly, Wanda becomes obsessed with the town's newest resident, a mysterious drifter named Tony who manages to charm everyone he meets with his good looks and easygoing manner. Despite Brent's warnings that Tony may not be all that he seems, Wanda continues to pursue him, much to the consternation of her coworkers.

As the day of the tournament wears on, tensions run high and tempers flare, with the residents of Dog River proving once again that there is never a dull moment in this quirky little town. With its trademark blend of humor, heart, and small-town charm, "Game Set & Mouse" is a must-see episode of Corner Gas that will leave viewers laughing and cheering until the very end.
