Counting Cars is an American reality television series that follows the everyday actions of the Desert Valley Auto Parts crew as they restore and customize classic automobiles. In the season 10 premiere, Alice Cooper Returns, the team is visited by the legendary rockstar and avid car collector Alice Cooper.
The episode begins with Alice Cooper and Kevin Mack, his manager, arriving at the shop to have a 1963 Studebaker Avanti custom-built. The car initially belonged to Cooper's friend and fellow rockstar Sammy Hagar, but after years of neglect, Cooper decided to restore it to its former glory. The team at the shop was excited to work with Cooper again, having previously built him a classic 1934 Ford Coupe.
Danny "The Count" Koker, the owner of Count's Kustoms, and his team of mechanics begin the restoration process by first inspecting the car. They discover that the Studebaker has a lot of rust and needs a lot of bodywork. The team then disassembles the car completely to strip the rust and repair the affected areas.
As the restoration process continues, the team works on customizing the car to fit Cooper's specific needs. Cooper wants the car to have a vintage feel but also be able to perform well on the road. He requests that the car has a unique exhaust system, a modern air conditioning system, and an updated stereo system that keeps the vintage look.
As they move forward with the project, each member of the team has a specific task. Ryan, the shop's "Fab Guy," works on the car's body, while Horny Mike works on customizing a soda vending machine to fit inside the car. Alice Cooper himself even contributes to the process by handpainting old school flames on the back of the car.
As the team gets closer to completing the car, they take it for a test drive. Cooper is ecstatic with the progress but notes that there are a few tweaks that need to be made. He requests that the brakes and steering be adjusted for better performance, and the team works quickly to make the necessary changes.
Finally, after months of hard work, the car is complete, and Alice Cooper comes to pick it up. He is thrilled with the finished product, calling it "the coolest car I have ever driven." The car features a blue paint job, red leather interior, and a unique exhaust system made of chrome pipes that run down the side of the car. A custom-made grill and tinted windows give the Studebaker a unique look, and the updated air conditioning and stereo system make it a comfortable vehicle for long drives.
Overall, Counting Cars season 10 episode 1, Alice Cooper Returns, is a thrilling episode for fans of classic cars and rock and roll. The episode showcases the impressive skills of the Count's Kustoms team, who are able to turn an old and rusted car into a beautiful and unique vehicle. The addition of Alice Cooper adds an extra layer of excitement to the episode, and fans will be thrilled to see him once again working with the team at the shop.
