Ep 17. A Sudden Storm

Davey and Goliath are back with another exciting episode, A Sudden Storm, which premiered in season one. Davey, a little boy, and his talking dog, Goliath, face another challenging situation in their lives. The episode starts as the pair goes for a day out in the countryside with Davey's father, John Hansen. The boat approaches fast, and they quickly realize that it carries a panicked man struggling against the currents of the river stream. The man begs for help, stating that his wife has been washed away by the strong currents, and he cannot find her. Davey and John Hansen decide to help the man and take him to safety, leaving Goliath behind to guard their tent.

The duo paddle fast and furious to search for the missing woman, and soon they are met with a broken and near-destroyed bridge. The raging river carried the whole bridge and swept it away, causing massive destruction. The water flows fast, and they must be careful not to be swept away by the current. Along the way, they find other broken objects lying in their path- electrical poles, floating debris, and other hazards that add to their challenge.

The trio tries to find the woman and eventually locates her hanging onto a tree branch in the middle of the river. They quickly rescue her and take her back to safety. They make it back to their tent, where they find an exhausted Goliath still standing guard. The storm has passed, and the skies return to calmness.

The group then makes their return to their home, where they relate the events of the stormy day to their loved ones. John Hansen and Davey's mother contemplate how lucky they are to have each other, their safety, and their pet dog, Goliath, who remains an unwavering companion during this rough patch. Davey reflects on the importance of being prepared and having courage in the face of danger.
