The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! is a DiC Animation production based on Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros. 2, the video games produced by Nintendo. The show is split into two parts, live segments and cartoon segments. The live segments often feature celebrity guests before the transition into the cartoon segments. These segments feature Mario and Luigi, often defending The Mushroom Kingdom from King Koopa, a recurring theme in the video games. After the cartoon segment, there is another live segment to wrap up the show.
