Ep 6. Series 1, Episode 6

A beautiful wedding on the picturesque island of Saint Marie comes to an abrupt end when the bride is found dead in her room the morning after the ceremony. DI Richard Poole and his team begin their investigation, but the case is complicated by the fact that the bride's room was locked from the inside and no one could have possibly entered or left during the night.

As the investigation continues, the team discovers a tangled web of secrets and lies among the wedding guests, which unearth motives for murder from all directions. The victim was known for her flirty nature, and Poole discovers that the bride may have had an affair with one of the guests, leading to jealousy and rage.

The investigation takes an unexpected turn when a newlywed couple reveal they were given the same room as the victim the night of her murder. Poole and his team soon realize that the murder may have been carried out by someone who knew the layout of the hotel well. The former owner of the hotel is brought in for questioning, as she had an intimate knowledge of the hotel's layout and could have helped the perpetrator.

The investigation takes a dramatic turn when the team discovers that the victim was in fact the groom's first wife, who he had thought to be dead. The groom is shocked by the revelation, but it also increases the amount of suspects who may have wanted her dead. Was it the groom driven by jealousy, or was it the first wife's lover seeking revenge?
