After a brief battle, the group manages to retrieve the key. They hurry back to the chamber and are able to successfully free Takenouchi from his imprisonment. However, they soon realize that they are not alone in the pyramid.
A group of minions of Devimon has been watching them all along, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. The group is soon confronted by a fierce Digimon named Etemon who is on a mission to capture them and bring them to Devimon.
In order to escape, the group must fight their way out of the pyramid and make their way to safety. Along the way, they discover that Etemon is not the only threat they are facing. They must also deal with traps and obstacles that have been set up throughout the pyramid to prevent anyone from leaving.
Despite the challenges, the group manages to make it out safely and continue on their journey to find a way back to the Digital World. They also gain a newfound respect for the power of the Digimon they have been encountering along the way.
