Taste of the Tropics is the eighth episode of season 2021 of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, a popular food show hosted by Guy Fieri. In this episode, Guy explores some of the best eateries that are serving up delicious tropical-inspired dishes.

The episode starts with Guy visiting The Reef Bar and Market Grill, a restaurant located in Honolulu, Hawaii. He meets up with the owner, who takes Guy on a tour of the restaurant's fresh fish and produce market. Guy is impressed with the variety of seafood available at the market and decides to try the Ono Tacos, which are made with grilled ono fish, mango salsa, and a pineapple-jalapeno sauce. Next up, he tries a refreshing Tropical Mai Tai made with fresh-squeezed pineapple juice and coconut cream.

The next stop is in Miami, Florida, at a restaurant called the Latin House. Guy meets with the chef and owner, who whips up a Latin-inspired dish called the Paco-Chon, which is a Cuban-style sandwich stuffed with pulled pork, ham, Swiss cheese, pickles, and a secret sauce. Guy tries this sandwich and loves the combination of flavors and textures. He also tries a classic Cuban dish called lechon asado, which is slow-roasted pork shoulder served with rice and beans.

From Miami, Guy heads to Atlanta, Georgia, to visit a restaurant called Gato Bizco Cafe. This cozy cafe is known for its homemade biscuits, and Guy gets to see how they are made from scratch. He tries a classic biscuit sandwich with fried chicken, bacon, egg, and cheese, topped off with a spicy jalapeno-cilantro sauce. He also tries the "Piggy in the Middle," which is a biscuit stuffed with chorizo, ham, bacon, and a sunny-side-up egg.

The next stop is in San Antonio, Texas, at a restaurant called Pollos Asados Los Norteños. This restaurant is famous for its mesquite-grilled chicken, which is cooked over an open flame for hours. Guy gets to see the chicken being cooked and tries it in a few different dishes, including the chicken tacos and a quesadilla stuffed with melted cheese and grilled onions.

The final stop of the episode is in St. Petersburg, Florida, at a restaurant called The Floribbean. This restaurant is all about fusing together Floridian and Caribbean flavors, and Guy gets to try some of their most popular dishes. He starts off with the Floribbean Grouper, which is a grilled grouper fillet topped with a tropical salsa. He also tries a Caribbean-style BBQ chicken served with black beans and rice, as well as a refreshing Key Lime Pie made with fresh-squeezed key lime juice and a graham cracker crust.

Overall, Taste of the Tropics is a colorful and flavorful episode that showcases some of the best tropical-inspired dishes from around the country. Guy Fieri's enthusiasm and passion for great food are contagious, and viewers are sure to feel their mouth water as they watch him explore each restaurant and try their delicious dishes.
