The pressure becomes too much for Doogie to handle, and he breaks down in front of his girlfriend. Wanda encourages him to take a break and focus on himself for once. Doogie takes her advice and goes on a weekend trip with her, finally getting some much-needed rest.

When he returns to work, Doogie is able to perform his duties with renewed energy and focus. He finds a way to get Benny the treatment he needs, and the young boy is saved. The episode ends with Doogie feeling grateful for the support of his loved ones and colleagues, and vowing to continue fighting for his patients no matter what challenges lie ahead.
