Facts of Life Season 1 Episode 2 Like Mother, Like Daughter

Blair is shocked when her mother, Monica Warner, comes to visit Eastland Academy. Monica is a famous fashion designer and expects Blair to follow in her footsteps. Blair is torn between pleasing her mother and following her true passion for writing. Meanwhile, Tootie is dealing with an overprotective mother who doesn't want her daughter to grow up too fast and Jo discovers that her father has a new girlfriend. Throughout the episode, the girls explore the complex relationships between mothers and daughters and the pressure to live up to parental expectations. Ultimately, they learn that it's okay to follow their own dreams and find their own paths in life.
