Blair's younger sister, Meg, comes to visit Eastland and Blair is excited to show her off to her friends. However, things take a turn when Meg is not the popular, well-liked girl Blair expected her to be. Meg struggles to fit in and Blair becomes frustrated with her, thinking she is trying to upstage her.
While Meg is able to make friends with Tootie and Natalie, she struggles to connect with Blair and Jo. At the same time, Blair's ego is bruised when Meg begins to excel in a school project that Blair was hoping to take the lead on. The tension between the sisters reaches a boiling point when a surprise party for Meg turns into an argument between Blair and Meg over their differences.
With the help of Mrs. Garrett, Blair realizes that she has not been treating Meg like a sister should and that she needs to put her own insecurities aside to support Meg. Meg also realizes that her actions have unintentionally hurt Blair and apologizes. They both come to understand that they are different but still love and care for each other as sisters.
The episode touches on themes of sibling rivalry and the importance of supporting and accepting family members for who they are.
