The Facts of Life season 5 episode 9 entitled Small but Dangerous follows the girls of Eastland School for Girls as they navigate the complexities of adolescence. The episode begins with the arrival of a new student, Kimberly, who is visibly smaller than the rest of the girls. As she tries to settle into her new school, she is bullied by some of the other students who mock her for her size.

Kimberly's experience with bullying leads to a conversation amongst the girls about the ways in which they have been bullied in the past. Tootie in particular opens up about the bullying she experienced when she was younger, and the way it shaped her identity. Through this conversation, the girls are reminded of the importance of standing up against bullying, no matter how small it may seem.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Garrett is tasked with coordinating the school's annual carnival. However, she is met with numerous obstacles, including a lack of funds and the unexpected illness of one of the key carnival organizers. Despite these setbacks, Mrs. Garrett perseveres and rallies the students to come up with creative solutions to make the carnival a success.

As the carnival approaches, the girls work tirelessly to prepare for their individual booths. Natalie uses her journalistic skills to create a "Gossip Booth," while Tootie and Blair team up to create a dunking booth. However, when the girls discover that Kimberly has been helping the other students with their booths and has not created one of her own, they band together to create a booth for her.

All of their hard work pays off when the carnival is a great success. The girls are proud of the money they raised, which will go towards supporting a local charity. The episode ends with the girls reflecting on their experiences throughout the day and the lessons they learned about standing up for what is right, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem.

Overall, Small but Dangerous is a heartwarming episode that touches on the important topic of bullying. Through the experiences of Kimberly and Tootie, the episode sheds light on the lasting impact that bullying can have on a person's life. However, it also emphasizes the power of standing up against bullying and the importance of supporting one another. The episode is a reminder that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference in someone's life.
