Ep 1. Hungry Christine/Mel Loves Ruby

In the first episode of Fantasy Island season 1 titled "Hungry Christine/Mel Loves Ruby," guests arrive on the mysterious island with their own personal fantasies. Christine, a woman who has struggled with food addiction her entire life, arrives hoping to finally overcome her addiction and make peace with her body. Meanwhile, Mel and Ruby arrive together, with Mel hoping to finally confess his love to Ruby, whom he has been secretly in love with for years.

As they begin their respective journeys, Christine is thrilled to find that the island offers a variety of healthy food options and fun exercise classes to help her on her path to wellness. However, she soon discovers that her addiction is more deeply rooted than she ever imagined and that healing will not come easily.

Meanwhile, Mel tries to find ways to impress Ruby and get her to see him as more than just a friend. He takes her on a romantic horseback ride and even serenades her with a love song, but Ruby remains oblivious to his feelings.

Throughout the episode, Mr. Roarke and Tattoo guide the guests through their fantasies, offering words of wisdom and encouragement along the way. However, as the guests become more entangled in their fantasies, they begin to realize that not everything on the island is what it seems.

As the episode nears its conclusion, both Christine and Mel face unexpected challenges that threaten to derail their fantasies altogether. However, with the help of Mr. Roarke and their own inner strength, they each find the courage to face their fears head-on.

In the end, both Christine and Mel emerge from the island changed, having learned valuable lessons about themselves and their desires. Despite the challenges they faced, they each found a sense of peace and closure that they had been searching for. As they say their goodbyes to Mr. Roarke and Tattoo, they know that their time on the island was truly magical and life-changing.
