Ep 4. The Hero and the Princess

In Fire Force season 1 episode 4, titled "The Hero and the Princess," the members of Company 8 are dispatched to investigate a string of mysterious incidents involving Infernals. Meanwhile, Shinra is still trying to come to terms with his role as a "hero" and continues to struggle with his past traumas.

The episode opens with a group of girls being attacked by an Infernal. Luckily, Company 8 arrives just in time to rescue them from harm. However, as they investigate the scene, they discover that the Infernal had a strange marking on its body that suggests it was artificially created. This discovery leads them to suspect that someone is intentionally creating Infernals for their own nefarious purposes.

At the same time, Shinra is having trouble sleeping because of his nightmares. In his dreams, he sees his mother and brother engulfed in flames, and he feels helpless to save them. On top of this, he's struggling with the idea of being a hero. He knows that people look up to him and expect great things from him, but he's not sure he's ready for that kind of responsibility.

To make matters worse, he's feeling some tension with his new partner, Arthur. Arthur is a bit of a goofball, but he takes his role as a knight very seriously, and he doesn't always see eye-to-eye with Shinra. Despite their differences, the two of them are sent on a mission together to investigate a strange occurrence at a nearby castle.

When they arrive at the castle, they discover that there's a princess trapped inside, and she's being held captive by a group of rogue knights. The knights are convinced that the princess is possessed by a demon and that she needs to be sacrificed to ward off evil. Shinra and Arthur quickly realize that the "possessed" princess is actually an Infernal, and that the knights are the ones responsible for creating it.

With help from the rest of Company 8, Shinra and Arthur are able to defeat the Infernal and rescue the princess. However, as they're making their escape, they discover that the knights were actually being manipulated by a larger organization. This organization is using Infernals as a means to further their own agendas, and they're willing to do whatever it takes to achieve their goals.

By the end of the episode, Shinra and Company 8 have resolved the immediate crisis, but they know that there's still more work to be done. They're determined to get to the bottom of this conspiracy and put a stop to it once and for all. Meanwhile, Shinra is starting to come to terms with his role as a hero. He may not be perfect, but he's willing to do whatever it takes to protect the people he cares about.
