Ep 5. Black and White and Gray

Shinra and the rest of Company 8 continue their investigation into the mysterious Adolla Burst phenomena and the Evangelist organization that seems to be behind it all. This time, they're tasked with investigating a string of strange incidents at a Chinese restaurant, where customers suddenly break out into violent fights for no apparent reason.

As they arrive on the scene, they're met with two individuals who seem to be at the heart of the disturbance: a pair of twins named Yona and Pan Ko Paat, who are apparently able to manipulate the emotions and impulses of those around them. Yona, the "Black" twin, is able to incite feelings of rage and violence, while Pan, the "White" twin, can suppress those same emotions just as easily.

The situation quickly devolves into chaos as first Shinra, then Maki and Arthur, fall under Yona's influence and turn on each other. Only the quick thinking of Tamaki and Hinawa, as well as the arrival of reinforcements from other companies, prevent a full-blown disaster.

As they regroup and try to come up with a plan of attack, the true mastermind behind the disturbance finally reveals himself: a man known only as "Gray." He claims to be a scientist studying the effects of emotions on the mind and body, and that Yona and Pan are simply his subjects. But as it becomes clear that Gray is willing to go to great lengths, even killing those who get in his way, it's clear that there's more to his research than meets the eye.

The episode culminates in an epic showdown between Company 8 and Gray, with Yona and Pan caught in the middle. It's a battle that tests not only their powers, but their morality as well, as they grapple with the question of whether or not it's right to manipulate people's feelings for the sake of science.
