Ep 15. There Are No Memories It's OK to Forget

Tohru Honda is an orphan who lost her mother in a tragic accident. She moves in with her grandfather, but when his house undergoes renovations, Tohru is left homeless. She decides to live in a tent in the woods, but unfortunately sets up camp on the private property of the Souma family. The Soumas are a curious bunch with a secret: they are cursed to turn into animals of the Chinese zodiac when they are hugged by someone of the opposite sex. Through a series of events, Tohru discovers their secret and vows to help break their curse.

In episode 15 of Fruits Basket season 1, titled "There Are No Memories It's OK to Forget," Tohru is still struggling to come to terms with the curse of the Souma family and the social stratification that often comes with it. In particular, she is concerned about Kyo, the cat of the zodiac, who is ostracized and avoided by the other members of the family.

As Tohru spends more time with Kyo, she learns that he has had a troubled past which has led him to feel isolated and misunderstood. She tries to help him by offering support and friendship, but he is resistant to her attempts at bridge-building. As they spend time together at the lake, they begin to open up to each other and share the things that have been bothering them. In the process, they discover that they are not alone in their struggles and that they have each other to rely on.

The episode touches on themes of friendship, self-discovery, and the importance of understanding and compassion in relationships. It also continues to explore the complex dynamics that exist within the Souma family and the consequences of the curse that they carry. Viewers are left with a sense that the characters are beginning to evolve and grow as they confront their struggles head-on.
