It's another day on Gilligan's Island, and the stranded group of castaways are still trying to find a way to be rescued. As they go about their daily activities, they find a baby tiger on the island - most likely escaped from a passing circus. Despite initial reservations, the castaways decide to take the tiger in, naming him Tige.
But with a ferocious predator on board, tensions rise on the island. The group is divided on how to approach Tige - some, like the Howell's, are eager to pamper and spoil him, while others, like the Skipper, are distrustful and fearful of the tiger's natural instincts.
As Tige grows bigger and hungrier, the castaways are faced with a new problem - they don't have enough food to sustain him. This leads to creative solutions, like turning coconuts into "meatballs" and concocting fish-flavored milk to keep Tige well-fed. But despite their efforts, the tiger's playful nature and sharp claws cause chaos on the island - resulting in everyone getting hurt in one way or another.
In the midst of all this, the castaways come up with a plan to use Tige's ferocity to their advantage - specifically, they hope to train him to catch fish for them. While this initially seems like a great idea, things inevitably go wrong, and the tiger's wild nature is unleashed once again.
As the episode comes to a close, the castaways are forced to reckon with their new relationship with Tige and the repercussions of keeping such a dangerous animal on the island. But despite the danger, they all agree that Tige has brought a new element of excitement and adventure to their otherwise mundane existence.
"Feed the Kitty" is a classic episode of Gilligan's Island that captures the show's signature blend of humor, adventure, and heart. With its focus on the group's relationships with one another and their unlikely new pet, it's a prime example of how the series was able to find joy and humor in even the most absurd situations. Overall, it's a must-watch for fans of the show and anyone who loves a good old-fashioned adventure.
