Ep 3. Virgin Ground

In the third episode of Gold Rush: Alaska season 2, entitled "Virgin Ground," the pressure is on as the miners face different challenges and look for new opportunities to strike gold. Parker Schnabel, on the other hand, is struggling to keep his team motivated after discovering that they've been making a massive mistake in the previous episode. The team's sluice box wasn't set up correctly, which resulted in the loss of thousands of dollars worth of gold. He has to go back to square one with his team and make sure that everyone is on the same page.

The episode also showcases the risks and dangers that come with mining. In one scene, a heavy cable holding Dakota Fred's sluice box snaps while they were trying to move it. This could have resulted in someone getting hurt, or worse. Fortunately, everyone was safe, and they got the sluice box back up and running.

Todd's crew is also dealing with unexpected issues as they move their equipment to the new site. They have to clear a road by cutting down trees and pushing them out of the way. The machines then have to take on the treacherous terrain of the Alaska wilderness, which includes steep hills and narrow passes.
