Ep 5. Body and Soul

As soon as Banri and Kouko saw each other, they were both ecstatic to be reunited. The previous episode ended with Banri getting a call from Kouko as she arrived in Tokyo. In this episode, Banri and Kouko spend the day out, and Banri introduces Kouko to his friend Linda. Linda is introduced as Banri's upperclassman from law school.

Banri was a bit hesitant to introduce Kouko to Linda, and things didn't go as smoothly as he expected. Kouko tries to show Linda that she is worthy of Banri's love, but her efforts are in vain. Linda seems a bit skeptical of Kouko's intentions and tries to put a stop to their relationship. Later on, Banri explains to Kouko that Linda is just looking out for him, and it doesn't necessarily mean that Linda has feelings for him.

Meanwhile, Mitsuo struggles to find a permanent part-time job, and his current job at the fast food restaurant is not making the cut. Chinami offers to help Mitsuo, and the two of them go out to look for a job together. They run into several obstacles, and it seems like Mitsuo might never find a job that suits him.

As Mitsuo and Chinami face challenges finding a job, Banri is confronted with his amnesia once again. His memory loss has been a recurring theme throughout the show, but Banri's memory lapses seem to be getting worse. Banri struggles to remember his past, and even his present memories become muddled.

The most emotional scene in the episode comes when Banri and Kouko go to a bridge that is significant to their relationship and the two of them share a heartfelt conversation. Kouko reveals some of her deepest fears and insecurities, and Banri promises to be there for her no matter what.

Overall, episode 5, titled "Body and Soul," is a roller coaster of emotions. The show's themes of love, friendship, and self-discovery are woven throughout, and there are touching moments that will leave viewers teary-eyed. With its relatable characters and realistic portrayal of relationships, Golden Time continues to be a standout anime series.
