Ohaiyo Inn is again bustling with customers. But, there is a problem, the number of rooms available is not sufficient to accommodate a school group that has arrived. The group teacher is pressurizing the inn to provide more rooms at the same rate. The matter goes to Satsuki's ears, and she admonishes the staff for not letting her know about the situation beforehand.

Minko is happy with her work-life until she hears from her father about the man he has selected for her marriage. She is surprised and is not pleased to hear about it. She confides in Ohana about it, and Ohana suggests that she should talk to her father about it. Minko is in a dilemma as she is not interested in marriage right now, but she doesn't want to hurt her father's feelings.

Meanwhile, Takako sets up a meeting with the rival inn owner, who demands that Ohaiyo Inn should stop providing a free hot spring service to attract more customers. She also makes a proposal to work together and divide the hot spring customer base among themselves. Takako, who is threatened by the whole situation, agrees to the proposal to avoid any conflict.

The situation at Ohaiyo Inn gets worse as one of the employees quits, and Minko is assigned to handle the kitchen all by herself. She is apprehensive about her cooking skills and lacks confidence.

To get through the day, Minko decides to make a risotto dish that she has never cooked before. While struggling with the new dish, Nako offers her help, which Minko initially rejects but later takes.

As the dinner service begins, the school group teacher visits the kitchen and compliments Minko on the risotto, which she has successfully made, much to her surprise. Minko is ecstatic to hear praises for her cooking.
