Hayate no Gotoku Season 1 Episode 7 Episode 7 - Half-baked Jealousy!! Ja-pan

  • May 15, 2009

After a few weeks of peaceful work in the mansion, Hayate finally catches a break. His adorable manager Nagi decides to take the group on a mini-vacation to an onsen, but as always, chaos follows. Nagi's jealousy starts to boil when she sees Hayate getting along with the other girls. It seems as though everyone but her has a special relationship with him, and Nagi won't stop until she's the only one on Hayate's mind.

Before they can take off to the onsen, they all stop into a convenience store to stock up on snacks and drinks. While everyone minds their own business, Hayate bumps into his old classmate, Wataru, and the two exchange pleasantries. However, when Nagi sees the two of them talking, she instantly becomes jealous. She's never seen Hayate so friendly with another boy, and the idea that he might have other friends besides her makes her uneasy.

Once they arrive at the onsen, Nagi's jealousy kicks into high gear. She starts to accuse the other girls of trying to seduce Hayate and becomes irrational in her thinking. When she sees him having fun with one of the girls from the group, she loses it and decides to confront him about his behavior. Of course, Hayate has no idea what she's talking about and tries to reassure her that there's nothing going on with anyone in the group.

Nagi's behavior towards Hayate becomes more and more erratic as the trip goes on. She starts to distance herself from him, convinced that he doesn't really care about her. However, her attitude changes when she overhears Hayate talking about how much he cares for her to the other girls in the onsen. She realized that her jealousy had been unfounded, and she makes up with him.

In this episode of Hayate no Gotoku, viewers see the lengths to which Nagi's jealousy can go. She's used to being the center of attention, and the idea that Hayate has other relationships is hard for her to accept. However, her actions are driven by her love for him, and viewers can't help but root for the two of them to work things out. The episode is filled with humor and heart, as well as beautiful scenery of the onsen. Overall, Episode 7 does a great job of showcasing the budding relationship between Hayate and Nagi while also providing plenty of laughs for viewers.
