Ep 2. After the Storm

After the Storm is the second episode of Heartland season 1. In this episode, we see Amy returning a stolen horse to a nearby ranch and dealing with a difficult, yet stubborn, new client.

The episode begins with Amy and her grandfather Jack driving through the storm to check on their horses. Once they arrive, they find that one of their horses is missing. The next day, Amy discovers that their neighbors' horse was stolen and believes it to be their missing horse. Determined to do the right thing, she returns the stolen horse to its rightful owners.

Meanwhile, Amy and her sister Lou are dealing with a new client named Lisa Stillman. Lisa is a wealthy woman looking to buy a horse and is adamant that the horse she chooses must be perfect. Amy tries her best to help Lisa find the right horse, but her quest for perfection proves difficult to satisfy. Amy begins to wonder if Lisa's real intention is to buy a horse at all.

As Amy and Lou try to please Lisa, Jack is struggling with the aftermath of the storm. He is trying to clean up the damage caused by the storm but just can't keep up. Thankfully, Tim, their estranged father, shows up to lend a hand. However, Jack is not too thrilled to have him around and it causes tension between them.

The episode ends on a positive note as Amy is finally able to find the perfect horse for Lisa and Jack and Tim begin to work things out. Overall, After the Storm shows the family's resilience and their ability to work together in difficult situations. It also demonstrates the importance of doing what is right, even if it is not the easy thing to do.
