Ep 5. Maybe/Definitely

In Imposters season 2 episode 5, titled "Maybe/Definitely," the characters are still dealing with the aftermath of Maddie's disappearance. Ezra, Richard, and Jules are trying to move on with their lives, but they can't help but wonder what happened to her. Meanwhile, Maddie is struggling to adjust to her new life in hiding.

The episode starts with Ezra receiving a mysterious text message from someone claiming to have information about Maddie. The message prompts Ezra to contact Richard and Jules, and they all meet up to investigate. They end up at a seedy bar, where they run into a woman named Lenny who claims to have seen Maddie. Although they are skeptical at first, Lenny convinces them that she knows where Maddie is hiding.

Meanwhile, Maddie is struggling to get used to her new life. She is living in a small apartment under a false identity, and she has no friends or family to turn to. Her only solace is Patrick, a tech genius who is helping her stay under the radar. However, Maddie is starting to get restless and wants to leave her hiding place to start a new life. Patrick is hesitant, but Maddie convinces him to help her build a new identity.

Back at the bar, Ezra, Richard, and Jules are following Lenny's lead. They end up at a rundown motel, where they believe Maddie is hiding. However, when they get there, they find that the room is empty. Frustrated and confused, they realize that they have been played by Lenny.

Meanwhile, Maddie and Patrick are getting ready to leave town. They have everything they need to start fresh, including fake passports and cash. However, just as they are about to leave, Maddie receives a phone call from Max, her former boss at the Doctor. Max tells her that he knows where she is and that he is coming to find her.

The episode ends with a cliffhanger as Maddie is forced to make a decision about whether to stay and face Max or run and start a new life. Ezra, Richard, and Jules are still searching for Maddie, but they are starting to realize that they may never find her. Meanwhile, Max's appearance brings a new twist to the story and raises questions about Maddie's past.
