  • August 28, 2017

In episode 239 of Judge Judy's 21st season, viewers are in for a day full of unpredictable cases of civil disputes. From dead pets to car accidents and Social Security fraud allegations, the show has it all.

The first case on the docket deals with deployment, a dead dog, and a crash. The plaintiff, who is a deployed soldier, is suing the defendant for not taking responsibility when the defendant's dog ran in front of the plaintiff's car, causing him to crash. The crash led to traumatic brain injuries and a long hospital stay for the plaintiff. However, the defendant is denying responsibility, citing the leash laws in the area where the accident occurred. Judge Judy grills both parties, trying to get to the bottom of the situation, and serves up her verdict in her usual no-holds-barred fashion.

The second case for the day is titled Good Samaritan or Social Security Thief?! The plaintiff, who is a Good Samaritan, claims that he did a favor for the defendant's mother by driving her to the Social Security office to pick up her check. However, the plaintiff says that when they got there, the defendant's mother told him to pick up another check in her name. The plaintiff obliged, but when he got back to the car, he discovered that the defendant's mother had given him a fake ID to cash the check. The plaintiff ended up going to jail for cashing a fake check. In court, the defendant denies any involvement in the situation and says that her mother loves her children and wouldn't do that to them. Judge Judy has to sift through the facts to determine who is telling the truth.

The final case on the docket is titled Roommates No More! The plaintiff and defendant were previously roommates, and the plaintiff claims that the defendant owes her money for unpaid rent and utilities. The defendant, on the other hand, says that she left the apartment because the plaintiff was loud, didn't clean up after herself, and had different schedules that didn't work well together. Judge Judy hears the case and decides whether or not the defendant owes the plaintiff any money.

Throughout the entire episode, Judge Judy exhibits her usual sharp wit and no-nonsense attitude. She doesn't hold back when questioning the parties involved and makes sure to clear up any confusion for the audience along the way. As always, viewers can expect a lively and entertaining show that will keep them engaged from start to finish.
