Judge Judy Season 23 Episode 24 Used and Confused!; Pregnant and Owing?!
- September 27, 2018
In this episode of Judge Judy season 23, episode 24, titled "Used and Confused!; Pregnant and Owing?!", two different cases of financial disputes are brought before the judge.
In the first case, a woman named Tatiana is suing her former friend Alex for breaking the terms of a loan agreement. According to Tatiana, she loaned Alex $4,000 to purchase a used car, with the understanding that Alex would pay her back in installments of $200 each month. However, Alex did not make these payments, and Tatiana claims that she is now owed over $3,000.
Alex argues that she did make some payments to Tatiana, but was unable to continue doing so due to financial difficulty. She also claims that Tatiana was aware of her financial struggles, and had agreed to alter the payment plan accordingly.
Judge Judy hears arguments from both sides, and ultimately determines that Alex did not fulfill her obligations under the loan agreement. She orders her to pay Tatiana the full amount owed.
In the second case, a woman named Destinie is being sued by her former landlord for unpaid rent. According to the landlord, Destinie lived in her rental property for several months without paying rent, and left the property in a state of disrepair when she finally moved out. The landlord is seeking $4,000 to cover the unpaid rent and repairs to the property.
Destinie argues that she did pay rent, but that the landlord had not been maintaining the property as promised. She also states that, as a pregnant woman, she was dealing with health complications that made it difficult for her to work and pay rent.
Judge Judy questions both parties about the specifics of the rental agreement, and ultimately determines that Destinie did not fulfill her obligations as a tenant. She orders her to pay the full amount owed to the landlord.
Throughout the episode, Judge Judy is her typical no-nonsense self, fiercely questioning both parties and demanding that they provide evidence to support their claims. She dispenses justice fairly and efficiently, leaving both litigants with a clear understanding of their legal obligations.
