Twice COVID-Infected Landlord!; Dirt Bike Taken Hostage?!; Pay a Little, Pay a Lot! is the 100th episode of season 25 of the popular reality court show Judge Judy. In this episode, Judge Judy hears three cases involving landlord-tenant disputes, property damage, and payment disputes.
The first case involves a landlord who claims to have contracted COVID-19 twice and had to spend a significant amount of money on medical bills. She is suing her tenants for unpaid rent and damages to the property. The tenants counter that the landlord provided them with substandard living conditions, which caused their health problems. Judge Judy listens to both sides and tries to assess the extent of the landlord's negligence, and whether it is legally justified for her to sue the tenants.
The second case centers around a dirt bike that was allegedly taken hostage by a neighbor in retaliation for a dispute over a dog. The plaintiff claims that the defendant threatened to kill his dog, and in response, he took the defendant's dirt bike and hid it. The defendant denies the allegations and claims that the plaintiff has no right to take his property without his consent. Judge Judy tries to determine the validity of both claims and decides whether the defendant's actions constitute theft.
The third and final case is a classic payment dispute between a construction worker and his client. The plaintiff claims that the defendant owes him $5,000 for work that he did on the defendant's home renovation project. The defendant argues that the plaintiff did not complete the job properly and that he is entitled to a refund. Judge Judy sorts through the various invoices and receipts, tries to determine who is at fault for the incomplete work, and decides how much the defendant owes the plaintiff.
Throughout the episode, Judge Judy displays her signature wit and no-nonsense approach to these various disputes. She often cuts through the emotion and rhetoric to get to the heart of the matter, and she frequently chastises those who waste her time with frivolous complaints or irrelevant arguments. At the same time, she remains sympathetic to those who have been genuinely wronged and tries to ensure that justice is served in every case.
