In the end, the conditions become so convoluted and complex that no one can keep track of them. Kaiji, Sahara, and Maeda realize that they have made a mistake by trying to outsmart the casino and each other. They decide to go back to playing honestly and hope for the best.

The episode ends with the results of the round being tallied. The tension is palpable as everyone waits to see who will receive the dreaded "slave" card.
