Nanami wakes up to find herself at the Dragon King's Palace which is submerged underwater. The Dragon King's servant, Suiro, informs Nanami that Tomoe has been taken captive by the Dragon King. Despite the danger, Nanami insists on going to rescue Tomoe and is given a special underwater breathing technique by Suiro.
As she ventures deeper into the palace, she encounters countless obstacles and tricks set up by the Dragon King. One such obstacle is a room that is filled with multiple doors, with only one leading to the exit. Nanami uses her wit to decipher the clues and find the right door.
Meanwhile, Tomoe is being held captive by the Dragon King and his guards. We learn about Tomoe's past as a fox demon and how he was once in love with a human girl who died. The Dragon King uses this information to taunt Tomoe and tries to provoke him into becoming his servant.
Back at the palace, Nanami eventually finds Tomoe's cell and tries to rescue him. However, they are confronted by the Dragon King himself who challenges them to a game of wits. The game involves a series of questions and riddles, and the Dragon King reveals that the stakes are much higher than they initially thought.
Throughout the game, Nanami and Tomoe are forced to rely on each other to come up with the correct answers. We see their bond grow stronger as they work together to outsmart the Dragon King. The tension builds as the stakes get higher and higher, but Nanami and Tomoe manage to stay one step ahead of the Dragon King.
