At the production meeting Karli finds out she's meeting La Diva de la Banda, Jenni Rivera on the set of her new music video. But, before she can head off to her interview Karli realizes she's forgotten Nelson's birthday. Karli and the producers decide to surprise their stylist with an office party. But, can Karli sneak the cake in without Nelson finding out?  Later in the week, Karli has more in plan for her best friend's birthday than a cake. First, she takes Nelson to visit a curandero to have their fortunes told. Then she treats Nelson to cumbia lessons at America's Dance Studio. Do best friends make for the perfect dancing partners? Or are they better off as just friends?

This week Karli is working hard to stay in shape. At the beginning of the week she goes hiking with friends Melissa and Pierre at one of her favorite Los Angeles locations, Runyon Canyon. But, after learning how to make enchiladas with her Tia and Abuelita Karli realizes she's going to need to take her fitness to another level if she wants to enjoy her favorite foods. So, Karli and her sister Emely take a kickboxing class together. Can Karli kick and punch her way to fitness success? And at work, Karli interviews Prima J in the MTV studios.

Karli decides it's time for a girl's night out with her pals Jamie and Melissa. But, before she heads out to play she has to work. Colby O'Donis stops by the MTV studio for an exclusive interview and to perform his new single "Don't Turn Back". Later Karli and her friends head out for a night out on the town, but of course the conversation quickly turns to boys. Jamie and Melissa try to get Karli back into the dating scene, but is she even ready to flirt? After going out with her friends Karli needs some advice from her Abuelita and Tia about love and being the single girl.

Karli has been working hard since the beginning of the season and it's time to enjoy a weekend off. When her interview with Solange Knowles is unexpectedly cancelled Karli is able to start the weekend early and has lunch with her sister Emely and Pee Wee. But, Karli isn't free just to hang out the entire time. She and Emely are having Abuelita and the rest of the family over to the new apartment for a BBQ. Will they approve of the new place? There is a lot of shopping and cleaning to do. But, Karli's weekend is interrupted when the Producers call Karli back to the studio because the Solange Knowles interview is back on. Can Karli make take care of work and family?

Karli has been on the hunt for a great stylist, and thinks she might have the perfect person. Nelson! After dressing Karli for her birthday party and helping with the Alma Awards Karli thinks he would be the perfect person to style her, and the producers agree to give him a shot at his dream job. His assignment is to dress Karli for her exclusive interview with Tommy Torres. But, will Karli and Nelson be able to work together and stay friends? And how will Karli look when Tommy Torres comes to the MTV studios for the interview?

Karli is covering the Alma Awards. Karli speaks with her producers and finds out that she is doing both red carpet and backstage interviews during the Alma Awards. But, there is a lot to do. Karli has to find a dress, wrangle tickets for her aunt and uncle, and be up early to get ready for the big day. At the show Karli gets to speak to some of the biggest names in Hollywood. But, how will her Tia and Tio handle being backstage?

Karli is on the move! Karli and her sister Emely move in together. They haven't lived under the same roof for a long time. Will it be sisterly bonding, or will Karli's motherly instincts take over? If Karli's life is crazy right now, work is insane. First she finds out mi trl is putting her on assigment again. Karli's is interviewing Penelope Cruz. It's Karli's biggest interview yet, but will she crack under the pressure? Then it's off to New York, but it's not for fun. Karli is working backstage at MTV Tr3s fashionistas! Will Karli be able to keep up with her own "Karli hustle"?

Karli is back and she has a lot to celebrate! The first production meeting of the season Karli finds out she is on special assignment for Mi TRL interviewing America Ferrera and the cast of Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants 2.  It's big for a young Latina about to turn 23.  Karli's birthday is coming up and she wants to make it special! With the help of her new publicist Mari, Karli plans a red carpet event with press and celebrity guests, but will there be room for her family? The publicist doesn't think so, but what does Karli want? Will the girl from the Valley have her fabulous Hollywood event and keep her family, too?
