In Kuroshitsuji season 1 episode 3, titled "His Butler, Omnipotent," we see our protagonist, Ciel Phantomhive, adjusting to his new life as the head of the Phantomhive household. As the Queen's "Watchdog," Ciel is tasked with solving any problems that the Queen encounters within England. Ciel's loyal butler, Sebastian Michaelis, is seen as his greatest asset in resolving these issues.

The episode opens with Ciel and Sebastian traveling to a small village in England to investigate rumors of a cult practicing human sacrifices. Upon arriving, they meet a young woman named Angela Blanc, who claims to be the high priestess of the cult. She tells Ciel and Sebastian that she has been able to summon demons with her powers and that they are the ones responsible for the sacrifices.

Ciel is skeptical of her claims, but before he can question her further, he and Sebastian are attacked by a group of cult members. Sebastian easily takes care of them, allowing Ciel to take Angela into custody. Back at the Phantomhive mansion, Ciel interrogates Angela and discovers that she is not the leader of the cult, but rather a victim of their twisted beliefs.

Ciel realizes that the true leader of the cult is someone else entirely and sets out to find them. With Sebastian's help, Ciel is able to track down the cult leader, a man named Ashe Landers, and put an end to his sickening practices.

Throughout the episode, we see Ciel struggling with his new role as the head of the Phantomhive household and the Queen's Watchdog. He feels overwhelmed by the amount of responsibility placed on him and the pressure to live up to his family's legacy. However, with Sebastian by his side, Ciel is able to stay focused and resolve the issue at hand.

Sebastian's character is also further developed in this episode. We see him effortlessly take on the cult members and later donning an elaborate disguise to infiltrate the cult's headquarters. His skills as a butler are not limited to household duties, but extend to combat and espionage as well.

Overall, "His Butler, Omnipotent" is an action-packed episode that showcases the dynamic between Ciel and Sebastian, as well as their abilities to solve problems and maintain order in England. It also touches on themes of power, responsibility, and sacrifice.
