In the fourth episode of Black Butler season 1, titled "His Butler, Capricious," we see the Phantomhive household hosting a costume ball. Everyone is dressed up in intricate and lavish costumes, and the party is in full swing. However, the fun is cut short when the guests realize that something is amiss.

The episode begins with Ciel Phantomhive, the young master of the Phantomhive household, and his butler, Sebastian Michaelis, preparing for the upcoming costume ball. Ciel is dressed in a charming prince costume, complete with a cape and feathered hat, while Sebastian is dressed in a sleek black suit. The two are discussing the preparations for the ball when they are interrupted by the arrival of Soma and Agni, two guests who have been invited to the party.

Soma and Agni are distant relatives of the Phantomhive family, and they have traveled from India to attend the ball. Soma is dressed in a flamboyant and colorful costume, while Agni is dressed in more traditional Indian attire. The two are excited to join in the festivities and explore the grand mansion.

As the night progresses, we see various other guests arriving at the party, each dressed in their unique costumes. Among them are Lau and Ran-Mao, two Chinese guests dressed in dragon-inspired costumes, and Elizabeth, Ciel's fiance, dressed as a ballet dancer. The party is a grand affair, with music, dancing, and elaborate decorations.

However, things take a sinister turn as the guests begin to realize that there is a strange presence within the mansion. They start to hear eerie noises, and some even claim to have seen a ghostly figure lurking in the shadows. As the tension builds, Ciel and Sebastian begin to investigate the source of the disturbance.

Their investigation leads them to discover a hidden room within the mansion. The room is filled with strange and macabre objects, and in the center of the room is a mysterious statue. As they examine the statue, they realize that it is possessed by a demon who has been causing the disturbances within the mansion.

The demon takes control of Soma and uses him as a vessel to attack the other guests. Ciel, Sebastian, and Agni team up to fight the demon and save the other guests from harm. Together they battle the demon, using their unique skills and abilities to outsmart and defeat the creature.

As the episode comes to a close, we see the guests returning to the ballroom, now safe and sound. The party continues, with everyone enjoying the festivities once again. However, there is a sense of unease lingering in the air, as the Phantomhive household is reminded that they are constantly surrounded by danger and the supernatural.

Overall, "His Butler, Capricious" is a thrilling and suspenseful episode of Black Butler. It showcases the unique and imaginative costumes and decorations of the Phantomhive mansion, while also introducing supernatural elements to the story. The episode is action-packed and exciting, with the demon battle being a standout moment.
