Kyou Kara Maou R Season 1 Episode 15 Rain falls in the desert

  • July 17, 2004

As the 15th episode of Kyou Kara Maou R begins, our hero, Yuuri Shibuya, is still exploring the uncharted territory of the Demon Kingdom. He's discovered a stunning natural enclave, a fertile valley where the desert's yellow sands give way to lush greenery and freshwater creeks. This Utopia is home to an ailing and impoverished tribe of desert people, the Moschet crew, who have been struggling to farm since a long drought began ravaging their land.

Yuuri is captivated by the Moschet's languid way of life, and he pledges to help them restore their land and bring water back to their desert home. The Moschet chief is wary of Yuuri's interference, however. He is suspicious of the young King's magical powers, and he fears the Great One who rules over their desert land will not take kindly to outsiders infringing upon his property.

Yuuri and his retinue of comrades continue to work hard to rebuild the Moschet's village and to find a way to irrigate their farms. But as dark clouds gather on the horizon, the group realizes that their efforts may be in vain. A fierce storm sweeps across the desert, and the Moschet's fragile crops are battered by torrential rain and whipped about by violent winds.

With their crops destroyed, the Moschet people seem to have lost all hope. But Yuuri refuses to give up, and he rallies his team to help the Moschet survive through the winter. He searches the desert for new sources of food, and he commands his soldiers to construct a fort to protect the Moschet people from the harsh desert elements.

As the episode draws to a close, Yuuri's plans are finally beginning to bear fruit. The Moschet village has been rebuilt, and the villagers are beginning to thrive once again. But there is still much work to be done, and Yuuri knows he cannot rest until the Moschet people are safe and secure in their own home.
