Kat Von D left Miami Ink after a falling out with other cast members, but she is back doing what she does best. This time in her hometown of Los Angeles. She has packed up and moved across the country to fulfill her longtime dream of opening a tattoo shop in L.A. With cameras rolling, Kat Von D gives it her all trying to thrive in a city known for its tattoo scene and world-famous tattoo shops. Kat's highly sought after work is soon attracting a wide range of clientele. Celebrities, musicians, rising stars, tattoo aficionados and everyone in between are lining up for a chance to get a tattoo at Kat's shop, High Voltage Tattoo.

Kat's colorful customers often share the stories behind their tattoos. These happy, sad and sometimes funny tales offer an unseen insight into the tattoo subculture. High Voltage Tattoo is a Los Angeles favorite among many actors and musicians. Viewers see a different side of celebrities away from the limelight in the tattoo chair.

Not known for conventionality, Kat plays by her own rules. Now that she is in charge, she sets her own schedule, chooses her own clients and lives an adventurous party lifestyle. High Voltage Tattoo's success depends upon Kat balancing her business and personal life.

Kat soon discovers that managing a tattoo shop comes with its own set of problems. Kat's no-nonsense approach, coupled with a staff as free-spirited as her, leads to stress, drama and confrontation. Employees come and go as Kat faces mounting pressure to succeed in a competitive industry.

  • Kat gets caught in between her roommate and her boyfriend's prank war. Corey cuts all ties when he joins American Electric.
