Ep 6. First Battle

The Sixth episode of 'Land of the Lustrous' named 'First Battle' introduces a new character named Aechmea, who has come to seek Phosphophyllite's assistance in fighting against the Lunarians. Aechmea is a member of the Moon People, and his kind has been at war with the Gems for centuries. However, he has a different perspective on the war, and wishes to make peace with the Gems rather than destroy them.

Phosphophyllite and Aechmea make a deal, where he promises her that he can change the fate of both the Moon and the Gems if she joins forces with him. After some hesitation, Phos joins him on the Moon to help the Lunarians in their battle against other Gems.

On the Moon, Phos discovers that there are other beings like her, who are neither Gems nor Lunarians. They are made of what seems to be a combination of both Moon Dust and the Gems' mineral makeup. Aechmea reveals to Phos that these beings are the descendants of a failed experiment by the Lunarians to create a new life form.

Meanwhile, back on Earth, the other Gems are surprised at Phos's sudden disappearance. They discover that she has gone to the Moon with Aechmea. However, they are hesitant to go after her, as they are afraid of the dangers that lurk on the Moon, and do not trust the intentions of the Moon People.

As the Lunarians and the Gems prepare for battle, Phos tries to negotiate with both sides. She convinces the Lunarians to stop their attack on the Gems, and also approaches the Gems with Aechmea's message of peace. But before she can accomplish anything, she is hit by a powerful attack from one of the Gems, who mistakes her for an enemy.

The episode ends on a cliffhanger, leaving the viewer eager to know what happens next.
