Ep 5. Haunted House

In the season 3 episode 5 of Last Man Standing titled "Haunted House," the Baxter family prepares for Halloween. Mike and Vanessa have always celebrated Halloween by doing various activities like carving pumpkins, hiding spider rings for each other, and decorating the house with spooky decorations. This year, they decide to take it up a notch and create a haunted house in their backyard to scare their neighbors who they believe aren't as festive as they are.

Meanwhile, Mandy is excited to dress up as a sexy pizza for Halloween, but her boyfriend Kyle insists that they dress up as a couple instead. He suggests they wear a nerd and a sexy nerd costume, but Mandy is hesitant. Kristin, on the other hand, is set on winning the Halloween costume contest at her workplace and plans to wear a complicated homemade costume that she put a lot of effort into. However, her boss tells her that the costume contest is canceled this year, leaving Kristin disappointed and feeling like her hard work went to waste.

As the day goes on, the Baxter kids start setting up the haunted house. Ryan, who has never been a big fan of Halloween, gets spooked by the decorations and decides to avoid the haunted house altogether. Meanwhile, Eve, who is determined to scare everyone, has a scary surprise for Kyle and Mandy.

As the sun sets, the neighborhood kids start arriving at the Baxter house for candy and to see the haunted house. Vanessa, who is dressed up as a witch, scares some of the kids with her cackling laughter. Mike, dressed up as a pirate, thinks he's the coolest dad ever until he realizes that his costume has made him the object of ridicule among the kids.

But the real scare comes when Ryan discovers that the haunted house has real ghosts in it. He tries to warn everyone, but nobody believes him until they also see the ghosts. The Baxter family ends up running out of their own haunted house, frightened and shaken up.

In the end, the family realizes that the "ghosts" were actually just Ryan's friends playing a prank on him. They all laugh it off and continue the Halloween festivities. Even Kristin manages to salvage her costume by wearing it around the house and taking pictures with her family.

Overall, the episode is a fun and lighthearted Halloween-themed episode that showcases the Baxter family's love for the holiday and their ability to come together in the face of fear.
