At the Shotz brewery, the boss is becoming increasingly frustrated with Lenny and Squiggy. He's not interested in their company, and just wants them to leave. However, Laverne and Shirley refuse to give up. They sneak into the office and try to convince the boss to hire Rosie on their own. They make up a fake resume for her, complete with fake references, and present it to the boss.

Unfortunately for them, the boss sees through their ruse and calls them out on it. Laverne and Shirley are forced to admit that they made up the rumor about Rosie being fired, and that they were just trying to help her out. The boss is understandably angry, and threatens to fire their boyfriends, who also work at the brewery.
