Ep 2. Back to School (2)

In the season 6 episode 2 of Little House on the Prairie, entitled "Back to School (2)," the Ingalls family must adjust to new changes as the children start school.

The episode begins with Mary Ingalls returning home from the Iowa College for the Blind, where she had been studying. She is eager to catch up with her family and friends, but she soon learns that things have changed. Laura has started teaching at the school and has taken over Mary's old position as teacher. Mary is initially upset by this, feeling that she has been replaced, but eventually comes to understand that Laura is simply following her own path.

Meanwhile, Charles and Caroline Ingalls are struggling to come up with the money to send their two youngest daughters, Carrie and Grace, to school. They ultimately decide to sell the horses they had been using for transportation, but not before Charles tries to teach the girls a lesson about money management by giving them a job selling eggs to earn their own tuition.

As the school year begins, Laura faces a challenge when she realizes that some of her students are much older and more difficult to teach than others. She is particularly troubled by a boy named Elmer who seems unwilling to learn and causes disruptions in the classroom. Laura tries to get through to him, but ultimately has to resort to harsher measures to maintain order in the classroom.

Mary, meanwhile, struggles to adjust to life back at home. She feels that her family is treating her differently now that she has gone away to school, and she is frustrated by her own limitations as a blind person. She finds solace in spending time with her old friend Adam, who is also blind, and they bond over their shared experiences.

As the season progresses, the Ingalls family continues to face challenges both inside and outside the classroom. Charles and Caroline struggle to make ends meet, while Laura tries to balance her responsibilities as a teacher with her own personal ambitions. Mary faces her own struggles as she tries to find her place in the world as a blind person. Through it all, the Ingalls family learns to rely on each other and find strength in their faith and love for one another.
