Ep 2. Finding Time for Family

In Love It or List It, Too season 10 episode 2 "Finding Time for Family," homeowners Mike and Nicole are feeling cramped in their current home and are at odds on what to do next. Mike loves the location and sentimental value of their home, but Nicole feels like their family has outgrown the space and is ready for a change.

Hosts Jillian Harris (designer) and Todd Talbot (real estate agent) meet with the couple to discuss their needs and wants. Jillian takes on the challenge of renovating their home to make it more functional for their growing family, while Todd searches for a new home that meets all of their requirements.

One of the biggest challenges they face is finding the time to spend together as a family. Their current layout doesn't allow for much family time and they are constantly moving from one room to another. Jillian's solution is to create an open-concept living space that allows them to all be together in one area. She plans to remove a wall between the kitchen and living room to create a more cohesive flow and update the outdated finishes throughout the home.

Meanwhile, Todd takes them to see a few different homes that could potentially meet their needs. While they like some aspects of each home, they all fall short in one way or another. They struggle to find a home that checks all of their boxes and that they can see themselves in long-term.

As renovation work begins, Jillian runs into unexpected structural issues that threaten to derail the project. She has to come up with a creative solution to still meet the family's needs while staying within the budget. The pressure is on as the deadline approaches and tensions rise between Mike and Nicole as they try to come to a decision.

In the end, the couple must decide whether to love their newly renovated home or list it and start fresh in a new space. Will Jillian's renovation be enough to convince them to stay, or will Todd find the perfect home that wins them over?
