Initially, both of them are skeptical about the idea of forming a school idol group, but Honoka convinces them by saying that it is the only way to save their school from shutting down.

Honoka works together with Kotori and Umi to find more members to join their idol group. They put up posters around the school, which catches the attention of some students. Nico Yazawa, a first-year student, tells them that she has experience in being an idol, but the trio is hesitant about including her. Nico is persistent and convinces them that she is the key to their success, and eventually, they agree to let her join their group.

The newly formed idol group now has four members: Honoka Kosaka, Kotori Minami, Umi Sonoda, and Nico Yazawa. They decide to call their group "μ's" (pronounced "Muse"), which means "Muse of school idols." Honoka wants to make their group unique and memorable by coming up with their own songs and dance routines. She writes a song called "START:DASH!!" as their debut song, which embodies their goal to get more applicants for their school.

In the episode, we see the girls practicing their dance routine tirelessly, despite facing several challenges such as lack of experience and coordination. They also face opposition from the school's student council, who do not approve of their idea of forming an idol group.
