Ep 9. Silent World

As they work to free the hostages, MacGyver learns that there is more to the situation than he originally thought. He discovers that the biologists were not only conducting research on deep-sea creatures, but they had also stumbled upon a valuable resource that the gang is trying to secure for their own gain.

The episode culminates in a tense standoff between MacGyver and the gang leader, as MacGyver must use all of his skills to prevent the gang from escaping with the resource and to save the lives of the hostages.
