Macross Dynamite takes place one year after the battle between the Macross 7 team and the Protodeviln. The story is about a man named Basara, who decides to leave the band, Fire Bomber and venture off to planet Zola to start a new life there. Upon his arrival, he meets a beautiful girl named Elma, who is a huge fan of his band. However, he is forced to use his super powers which are known as Spritia powers to put a stop to Elma's father, Graham, as well as a group of poachers from murdering a small group of whales in space who are traveling through the galaxy.
