The episode opens up with Misaki Ayuzawa, the student council president of Seika High School, in her maid uniform, working at Maid Latte. She is approached by a group of girls who attend the nearby all-girls school, Miyabigaoka. They are there for the open campus event and are amazed by how "[Misaki] looks like a doll."
Misaki is taken aback by their admiration and uncharacteristically blushes. This catches the attention of one of the girls, Suzuna, who is Misaki's younger sister. Suzuna, who has been studying abroad in England, has returned to Japan with her friends, including Honoka, who has a massive crush on Misaki.
The girls from Miyabigaoka are there to scout Misaki in hopes of having her join their school. They invite her to attend the open campus at their school and Misaki reluctantly agrees. When Misaki and Suzuna arrive at the school, they are greeted by a group of boys who are staring at Misaki's uniform and cat ears.
They soon learn that the school has a strict dress code and that Misaki's uniform is not appropriate for the occasion. Suzuna quickly comes to the rescue and offers Misaki an outfit to change into. The outfit turns out to be a gothic lolita-style dress, complete with a bonnet and a parasol.
Misaki is hesitant to wear the outfit, but Suzuna manages to convince her. She even disguises herself as a bespectacled rabbit to distract the boys who were following them. Throughout the episode, Suzuna repeatedly appears in various disguises, including a ninja and a princess, to aid Misaki in her journey through Miyabigaoka.
Misaki's presence at Miyabigaoka attracts a lot of attention from the student body, especially from the boys. In one scene, Misaki attends a tea party hosted by the student council president of Miyabigaoka, Tora Igarashi. Tora is a charming yet arrogant boy who takes a liking to Misaki. He offers her a seat next to him and starts flirting with her. Misaki tries to ignore his advances, but she soon realizes that Tora is actually the boy who helped her out a few episodes ago when she was stuck in a room with a broken door.
Later in the episode, Misaki and Honoka are talking when Honoka confesses her feelings for Misaki. Misaki is surprised by the confession and tells Honoka that she is flattered but that she doesn't feel the same way. Honoka takes the rejection gracefully and Misaki is relieved that she didn't ruin their friendship.
The episode ends with Misaki and Suzuna returning to Seika High School. Misaki is exhausted from the events of the day and collapses on a bench. Usui, the school's most popular boy, finds her and notices that she is in distress. He offers her a bottle of water and tells her that she needs to take better care of herself. Misaki is grateful for his kindness and wonders why he always seems to be looking out for her.
Overall, the episode is filled with humor and lighthearted moments as Misaki navigates through the open campus at Miyabigaoka. It also introduces Tora, who will later become an important character in the show. The episode touches on themes such as identity and self-expression, as Misaki struggles to fit in at a school where she doesn't belong.
