In Making It season 2 episode 2 titled "Ordinary Home to Extraordinary Home," the competitors are challenged to take an ordinary item found in any home and transform it into an extraordinary piece of art.
The first challenge is called "Wheel of Wares," where the makers spin a wheel to determine which household item they will be working with. Some of the items include a toilet paper holder, a lampshade, and a wall clock. They have four hours to transform the item into a creative and functional piece of art.
In the second challenge, the makers must create a larger home decor item using the same item they transformed in the first challenge. They have eight hours to complete this challenge, and the stakes are higher as the winner receives a special advantage in the next challenge.
During the episode, viewers get to know the makers better as they share their personal stories and creative processes. Judges Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman also provide commentary and guidance, giving feedback and advice to help the makers push their creativity to the limit.
As the makers work tirelessly throughout the episode, viewers are treated to glimpses of their incredible creations, ranging from a statement piece of furniture to a whimsical birdhouse. The challenges also test the makers' ingenuity, as they must find ways to work with unconventional materials and think outside the box to create something truly extraordinary.
In the end, only one maker can win the coveted title of Master Maker and the accompanying prize. But each maker has the opportunity to showcase their incredible talent and inspire viewers to see the beauty in everyday items around the home.
