He also learns about the restaurant's role in the civil rights movement and its connection to music legends such as Aretha Franklin and Isaac Hayes.

Finally, Roger heads to New Orleans to explore the city's unique blend of Creole and soul food cuisine. He visits Neyow's Creole Cafe, where he meets with owner Tres Barnard to try their gumbo and jambalaya. Roger learns about the history of Creole cuisine and how it evolved from the blending of French, African, and Native American cultures in Louisiana. He also discovers how Neyow's puts their own spin on classic Creole dishes while still honoring their traditional roots.

Throughout the episode, Roger not only indulges in some of the tastiest soul food in the South, but also gains a deeper appreciation for the history and cultural significance behind these dishes and the restaurants that serve them.
