After the Bundys' neighbors, the Rhoadeses, go on vacation, Marcy offers the Griffins the Rhoadeses' house for a week while Kelly takes over Marcy's job so Marcy can join Steve on-location in the Yucatan for a story on Mayan fertility rites. Al and Peggy are ecstatic at the chance to have sex outside of their own bed for the first time in 10 years, so they take advantage of the situation.

Meanwhile, the Rhoadeses' dog, Lucky, is distraught over being unable to find his owners, so Buck takes him under his wing. When Lucky digs up Rhoadeses' backyard and uncovers a very valuable archeological find, Steve and Marcy's vacation is cut short so they can cash in on the discovery and split the profits with Al and Peggy.
