Ep 8. Giddy Up Bug; A Plushy Parable

When Sawyer, the ant rides into town with her four aphid Briends, she invites Shimmer, Bounce and Squirt to help with the honeydew round up time. The kids learn about the symbiotic relationship between ants and aphids. While ants protect aphids from predators, the aphids in return produce honeydew a sweet treat that the ants like to eat. Sawyer teaches the kids lots of cowbugs skills and about the cowbug code of honor. When Ted and Ned, the two ant brothers, get greedy and try to rustle the aphids to get all the honeydew for themselves, the kids use their tracking skills to find the missing aphids. They get a big honeydew reward from Sawyer. Ted and Ned get something too-a day's worth of dirty dishes to wash!;Pansy is missing her mom who is out of town for a couple of nights. Grandma Betty, who is bug-sitting tries to make her feel better by letting her sleep with Miss Spider's old toy Willa, a pussy willow plushy. The plushies made from pussy willows used to be a fad when Miss Spider was a little spiderling. Pansy promises to take good care of Willa. The following day, she takes Willa out to the meadow, but as the day wears on she keeps less and less of a close watch on Willa. When Grandma calls all the kids in for dinner, Pansy forgets Willa in the meadow. That night Pansy has to fess up to Grandma that she lost Willa. Grandma is very understanding and promises that they'll go look for Willa together. The following day Pansy and Grandma Betty start their search for Willa. Shimmer and Squirt volunteer to help. They look everywhere for her and even hang posters all over Sunny Patch. They don't find the plushy, but they do find a new pussy willow bush full of plushies. Pansy decides to make Miss Spider a new plushy. Meanwhile Spiderus finds Willa and takes her home for Ivy who is immediately smitten with the little plushy. But when Ivy spots one of the posters, she realizes the doll is not hers to keep. Ivy does the right thing and returns her to Miss Spider.
